The Ogham Stones (1st set)
The Ogham Stones formed in 2010 when a cantankerous bartender, flustered at his beloved city’s lack of a great Celtic band, approached a piper he knew from playing out in the bars (and his own wedding!) and asked her if she wanted to kick it, band-style…thankfully, Amanda said yes. They were joined by Matt on mandolin and banjo, James on guitars, and Shawn on drums. In 2021, Claudia became our fiddler and Mike joined us on bass guitar, and we’ve been rocking out ever since. Mix these folks up with the kilted guy with the growly voice and you’ve got yourself an Irish band, My Friend!
All in all, we’re just a bunch of fun-lovin’, hard-drinkin’ lovers of Irish and Celtic music…we’re going to inspire you to have a good time…hopefully, you’ll sing along and dance…and, if you’re not careful, you just might learn something…Slainte!

OUR MISSION:
Based in Harford County, Maryland, Project Patriot is committed to one mission; to provide fellowship and support to Our Nation’s Finest, current and former military, law enforcement and first responders, and their families. Firstly, we take great care in concentrating on those who suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) ,traumatic brain injury (TBI), and adjustment disorders. Secondly, we are committed to educating our fellow citizens about the massive sacrifices that our heroes have made on their behalf. When a service member comes home from a traumatic event, the war within is just beginning. As well as when a law enforcement officer or first responder comes home after a tragic event, the struggles within are just beginning.
My name is James Cosgrove, President of the Harford County Chapter of the Ancient Order of the Hibernians, an Irish fraternal organization dedicated to community service for more than 12 years. We are pleased to announce our partnership with Project Patriot Corporation, a Harford County based veteran support 501(c)3 organization, Together, we are proud to announce the inaugural Harford County Celtic Festival at Abingdonās Friendship Park, August 23-25, 2024.
The Harford County Celtic Festival is an opportunity for the community to gather as we prepare for the new school year and to support local charities such as; SARC, The Sharing Table, Imagination Library of Harford County, Wreaths Across America, Paws and Stripes and many more worthy causes.
