Celebrate Independence Day with us! Prepare for an exhilarating day filled with excitement and events galore! Beginning with early morning festivities and concluding with late-night fireworks.  Providing a unforgettable Independence Day experience. Join us and be part of an electrifying celebration that showcases the best of our community’s spirit and achievements.

Bel Air 4th of JulyThe Bel Air July 4 Parade is one of the largest in the state of Maryland. 

FLAG-RAISING – “Call to the Colors” Star Spangled Banner
Pancake Breakfast – Horseshoe Pitching – Water Balloon Tossing – Bocce – Bicycle Rodeo – Watermelon Eating – Uncle Sam Says 

Floats – Bands – Marching Units – Car Clubs – Beauty Queens – Volunteer Fire Companies

Celebration Schedule

6:45 am: Flag-Raising Ceremony, featuring Disabled American Veterans, Chapter 30; American Legion Post #39 and Sgt. Alfred B. Hilton Memorial American Legion Post #55. Robert Hudson, Bugler; and Mary Polenz, Soprano —in front of BEL AIR HIGH SCHOOL.

8:00 am (approx.): ROCKFIELD PARK

8:45 am (approx.): SHAMROCK PARK

10:45 am (approx.): BEL AIR ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

Blueberry – Chocolate Chip – Plain Pancakes – Sausage Links – Milk – Apple Juice – Coffee – Tea – Water

7:00am BEL AIR HIGH SCHOOL; Arrive BEFORE 11:00am to purchase a breakfast ticket. Enter through the school main entrance near the flag pole. Parade & Fireworks

Miss Bel Air 2024Gianna Romero is currently a student at Stevenson University in Owings Mills, Maryland, pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Communications with a minor in Event Planning. She is also an instructor and Birthday Party lead with Harford Gymnastics of Joppa, Maryland, and a Substitute Dance and Baton-Twirling Instructor for TwirlTasTix/Relevé Baton and Dance of Bel Air. Her volunteer experience includes being a choreographer for the Upper Falls Dance Academy, Dance Assistant for the John Carroll Ballet Academy Thrive program, and a Summer Reading Assistant for the Harford County Public Library. She achieved the Dean’s List at Stevenson University for Fall 2023, and is a Stevenson University Leadership Scholar and Resident Assistant for the 2024-2025 Academic Year. Read More…

6:00pm: The 2024 Parade will start at the intersection of IDLEWILD and S. Main and procced to the intersection of E. Gordon Street and North Main Street, at the “Welcome to Bel Air” sign. See the map!

Note: If the parade is Cancelled due to inclement Weather, it Will Not be Rescheduled. Cancellation announced our Facebook page, and broadcast on WXCY-FM 103.7 & WAMD-AM 970.

9:30pm: The 2024 Fireworks will be launched from Rockfield Park. Spectators may watch from any permitted area in or around the Town of Bel Air. Please obey no-entry zones (see map).
